We love seeing that modern day jet-setters are recognising the importance of being environmentally aware and wanting to check more eco friendly hotel and accommodation options out. 🌱🌏 People are increasingly seeking accommodation that supports environmentally friendly and sustainable tourism - whilst still being a great place for a well deserved break.

Here at My Eco House, we want to make sure you are making the best environmentally conscious decisions you can within all aspects of your day-to-day life. Whether that’s reducing the plastic in your kitchens or bathrooms, giving you more eco-friendly health care alternatives or just enlightening you all things sustainable

Next on the list, is providing you with the most amazing eco friendly hotels and holiday accommodation so you can start booking your next trip! 🧳

The eco-problem with hotels 🏨

Before reading this article, you may have not known that hotels are notoriously bad for the environment. For example, did you know that when you stay at a hotel, you become personally responsible for a portion of that hotel's carbon footprint?

Hotels are renowned for the amount of waste they generate, especially when it comes to electricity, water and general waste. If you think about the most recent hotel you stayed in, I bet your room was armed with disposable cups and small portions of coffee packaged in two or three layers of plastic; all of that waste ends up in landfills.

Like me and the rest of the team at My Eco House, you probably don’t want that on your conscious - so take a look at these eco-friendly hotel and holiday accommodation options instead. And remember - if you can drive or get the train to the destination, that’s even better.
